Lube Oil Flushing

Sygma Energy delivers specialized high-velocity lube oil flushing services to guarantee the internal cleanliness of critical compressor and turbine lubrication systems. Our process utilizes external high-flow pump skids to circulate oil at Reynolds numbers well into the turbulent regime, ensuring that microscopic particulates, weld slag, and sand are dislodged from piping walls.
To maximize cleaning efficiency, we employ thermal cycling, heating the oil to reduce viscosity and expand the piping, which helps release stubborn contaminants. The oil is continuously passed through high-efficiency, low-micron filtration units (often rated at Beta 1000) to remove moisture and debris. Throughout the operation, cleanliness is verified using mesh screens or automatic particle counters to meet stringent NAS 1638 or ISO 4406 standards. This meticulous approach safeguards high-speed bearings and control valves, preventing premature wear and ensuring the long-term reliability of rotating equipment.
